Overview
One fast method to improve your smile and conceal crooked, chipped, stained, or decayed teeth is using porcelain veneers at East Haddam Dental Associates. Cosmetic veneers are light covers created with porcelain, which are secured to the front of the teeth to enhance the overall look of your smile. Offering personalized veneers and minimal prep, our skilled team of dentists will aid in improving the size, color, length, or shape of the teeth. Make a consultation in our Moodus, CT office to find out more information about veneers and decide if they're appropriate for your goals.
Best Candidates
Porcelain veneers may be used to rapidly mask stains and chips in your teeth, improve worn down or misaligned teeth, and fix teeth that are poorly spaced or shaped. At East Haddam Dental Associates, your porcelain veneers will be custom created to fit snugly over your teeth for an appealing and natural look. At your consultation, we will listen to your objectives and concerns so we can personalize your procedure. We may also find out whether you're a good candidate for porcelain veneers by checking the total health of your mouth. You shouldn't have symptoms of periodontal disease, or routinely grind your teeth and clench your jaw.
What To Expect
As soon as you've decided on your personalized treatment program, we will take physical or digital impressions of your teeth. Your porcelain veneers might be produced in our office using CEREC technology as you wait, or your impressions could be sent to a dental lab where your veneers will be made from high-quality porcelain. As soon as your porcelain veneers are prepared, we will take off a little bit of enamel from your teeth. This allows room for the porcelain veneers and enhances the bond for a more natural outcome that lasts longer. When your porcelain veneers are secured, we can make small adjustments so that your veneers are comfortable.
East Haddam Dental Associates Reviews
I have been a patient of East Haddam Dental for very many years. I have at all times been treated courteously and professionally. Dr. Stofko and now Dr. Goldman have tended to my teeth with a maximum of skill and a minimum of pain. Dr. Pear has also pitched in in their absence when I had an emergency that could not wait. I have never had an issue with the front desk staff. When I have a problem with a tooth they are always sympathetic and do their best to get me an early appointment to get it fixed. As for wait time, my experience is that I'm usually seated within a few minutes of my appointment. On those rare occasions where I did have to wait it was only for 15 minutes or so. I always figured the Doctor was backed up because someone needed extra help and I was just happy not to be that person. Needless to say I am pleased with the quality of care I've received and intend to stay with East Haddam Dental for the foreseeable future.
My first visit here. Sherry was very welcoming and helpful. I went on to meet the doctor who was quick & thorough and addressed my issues. I was also able to squeeze back in the same day for a cleaning and the assistant was wonderful and kind too! Great team
I just joined this office and had my first appointment and I'm honestly so pleass with how easy and genuinely nice this experience was. Everyone here is very nice and made me feel comfortable. Definitely happy I've joined this office! Thank you!

The staff is super nice and helpful. The dentist is excellent and very thorough. I never liked going to the dentist, however, I do feel very comfortable there.

Recovery
Since getting dentures normally doesn't require anesthesia, you ought to be able to continue your daily tasks following your appointment. You might experience sensitivity to cold and hot meals for a couple of days, but that should fade away. Veneers should be cared for just like your own natural teeth with regular flossing and brushing. While cosmetic veneers are stain resistant compared to the natural teeth, you still need to stay away from staining drinks and food to keep your veneers white. To prevent harming your veneers, you shouldn't chew on hard objects, like your fingernails or ice. Continue to make dental examinations and cleanings at East Haddam Dental Associates so that we can track the condition of your porcelain veneers, teeth, gums, and general oral health. We will tell you if your cosmetic veneers have to be replaced or repaired.
Insurance Coverage
Porcelain veneers are an elective treatment, so they're usually not paid by dental insurance. East Haddam Dental Associates does take many payment options, such as low-interest medical financing, to make your veneers more affordable. At the consult, we will personalize your treatment to meet your needs and budget. We will discuss a quote for your veneers and explore your payment choices.
