What To Expect
In your consult, we will get dental impressions so your crown can be made to fit your tooth. In some cases, a temporary dental crown may be used to cover your tooth as your permanent crown is being crafted. As soon as your dental crown is made, the treatment area will be given a local numbing anesthetic. More sedation techniques may be used if you have dental anxieties or fears. When the anesthesia has taken effect, we will prep your tooth by cleaning away debris and decay, then lightly file the enamel to create space for your dental crown. Your dental crown can be either glued to your tooth or connected to an implant. Once set, we can adjust the crown's fit so it is comfortable.

I have been a patient of East Haddam Dental for very many years. I have at all times been treated courteously and professionally. Dr. Stofko and now Dr. Goldman have tended to my teeth with a maximum of skill and a minimum of pain. Dr. Pear has also pitched in in their absence when I had an emergency that could not wait. I have never had an issue with the front desk staff. When I have a problem with a tooth they are always sympathetic and do their best to get me an early appointment to get it fixed. As for wait time, my experience is that I'm usually seated within a few minutes of my appointment. On those rare occasions where I did have to wait it was only for 15 minutes or so. I always figured the Doctor was backed up because someone needed extra help and I was just happy not to be that person. Needless to say I am pleased with the quality of care I've received and intend to stay with East Haddam Dental for the foreseeable future.
The staff are pleasant & knowledgeable. Dr. Goldman is very capable, I would recommend them.
Dr Goldman, Holly, Veronica & the receptionist, Sherry are all wonderful. Sherry is so friendly and always willing to help! They are all kind and caring. Veronica, the hygenist and Dr. Goldman are both extremely gentle with my sensitive gums. Holly, the assistant, keeps me informed the whole time and is always willing to hold my hand (regardless of me being an adult) for the novacaine shots. They make going to the dentist (which I depise) a better experience. I highly recommend this office.
Fantastic. Was very surprised that Dr Goldman could save my teeth as other offices couldn’t and yanked a bunch out. Wish I came here sooner 🤣 everyone was extremely kind, highly recommend 🙂
I have never been so happy with a cleaning in any of my experiences- I absolutely recommend this practice! All staff were so friendly and knowledgeable.

Recovery
Unless sedation was used, you will be able to leave our office once the procedure is done and get back to your day. One of our dentists or a member of our team will discuss how to care for your crown, including any foods that should be avoided and cleaning. During your annual exams at East Haddam Dental Associates, we will evaluate your dental crown and adjust it to keep it comfortable. We will determine when your crown should be replaced; however, with good care, it may last for several years. If you have any issues with your crown (if it falls out or is loose), call our office right away. Don't try to repair it or re-attach it because this may cause an infection or bad fit.
