"I have been a patient of East Haddam Dental for very many years. I have at all times been treated courteously and professionally. Dr. Stofko and now Dr. Goldman have tended to my teeth with a maximum of skill and a minimum of pain. Dr. Pear has also pitched in in their absence when I had an emergency that could not wait. I have never had an issue with the front desk staff. When I have a problem with a tooth they are always sympathetic and do their best to get me an early appointment to get it fixed. As for wait time, my experience is that I'm usually seated within a few minutes of my appointment. On those rare occasions where I did have to wait it was only for 15 minutes or so. I always figured the Doctor was backed up because someone needed extra help and I was just happy not to be that person. Needless to say I am pleased with the quality of care I've received and intend to stay with East Haddam Dental for the foreseeable future."- T.B. / Yelp / Jul 28, 2018

It's recommended by the ADA (American Dental Association) that babies should go to the dentist before they turn one. Children may develop tooth decay and cavities as early as two years old, so it's crucial for your children to get preventive procedures and if needed, treatment. After that, your whole family needs to make appointments at East Haddam Dental Associates twice a year. You should contact East Haddam Dental Associates if you have any discomfort, pain, or problems in your mouth. When problems are diagnosed quickly, you can have simpler options for treatment with faster results.
What to Expect
Most appointments will include an examination and professional cleaning. Other treatments may be suggested if needed. Before you receive a procedure, we will explain the options best for your child or you to correct issues like misaligned teeth, cavities, and more. Our dentists can also recommend proactive procedures, such as treatments with fluoride and sealants for children as their teeth develop.
Following each visit, we will help you develop a unique plan to maintain your family's oral health. A key element is maintaining a good home oral hygiene regimen, which means daily brushing and flossing. Our dental team will help you with proper flossing and brushing techniques or suggest products for concerns. Routine trips to East Haddam Dental Associates will also help us watch your family's dental health and find minor issues before they develop into expensive issues.
Although general dental treatments are usually paid for by dental insurance, our team will contact your insurance carrier and then bill you if there are any remaining expenses. East Haddam Dental Associates takes several payment methods, and we will give you more information on medical financing so your treatment is easy to afford.
